Boynton a finalist for Medway job

May 16, 2014

As first reported exclusively on the Sam Obar Twitter earlier this week, the Milford Daily News has reported that the Medway, Mass. Board of Selectmen announced Monday night that Walpole Town Administrator Michael Boynton is one of four finalists for the Town Administrator job in Medway.

Besides having a shorter commute from his home in Bellingham, Boynton would also be leading a much wealthier town with a smaller population. The median household income in Medway is $97,000, according to the Edward J. Collins Jr. Center for Public Management, which helped Medway identify candidates for the position. The town’s total budget is about $52 million. The current Town Administrator, who is retiring, earns a salary comparable to Boynton’s current salary in Walpole.

The Medway Selectmen are expected to make a final decision on who to hire by the beginning of June.
