Change blog ratings?

January 2, 2014

Update 1/12/14: 55 percent, a clear majority, of 180 readers voted that 180 should switch to a five-star rating system. The poll is now closed.

One of the things that 180 readers seem to enjoy is giving my articles either a “thumb up” or a “thumb down” rating.

I would like to know whether readers would prefer to keep this simple rating system (known as a “nero” rating), or if they want me to change it to a 5-star rating system as shown here:

With the five-star rating, readers would be able to rate the article out of five stars. It would show you how many people have voted, and it would indicate based on the number of shaded stars what the average rating is.

Or, you can choose to keep the current system. Please vote below, by January 12, and I will honor the votes of the readers. After January 12, I will close voting.
