The number of town employees earning over $100,000 per year increased substantially between 2010 and 2011, a new 180 analysis has found. The number of employees earning over $80,000 also rocketed up significantly last year.

The town of Walpole has reached a point where it is very top-heavy with salaries, as the number of employees earning over $70,000 also increased while the number of those under $70,000 continues to plummet. This alarming trend threatens to continue into the future if major reforms are not made in the town’s payroll structure.

Newly available on the Walpole Spending webpage on Friday morning is the entire 2011 town of Walpole payroll in Excel format.
