What did you think of NSTAR’s response?

My neighborhood near downtown had a power outage that lasted for days after both Hurricane Irene and the most recent snowstorm last week. My expectation would have been that NSTAR would have learned from Hurricane Irene, but I guess not.

This is looking to be a long winter. I hope NSTAR gets its act together.

Walpole Republican State Representative Dan Winslow (based in Norfolk) is proposing legislation at the State House that would require power companies to give rebates to their customers after long outages. The intent is to encourage utilities to focus on preventing outages in the first place. I’m not sure my view on this.
