Sunnyrock Farm sold for conservation land?

June 23, 2011

The Trust for Public Land has approached the Board of Selectmen about purchasing a portion of Sunnyrock Farm for conservation purposes. A developer would buy it otherwise.

They either want to raise the money to buy it or get the town to pay for a portion of it if possible (which is unlikely). An anonymous donor has already stepped forward to pay for a portion of the cost. A land grant would also pay a portion of the cost.

The Board of Selectmen is apparently supposed to talk about this at a meeting soon.

I will blog more about this at a later date.
