Results of the Sam Obar 180 Survey

June 6, 2011

This post has been edited/updated since being originally published.

27 people took this survey. Out of 24,070 people in Walpole, that represents a sample size of .1% of the Walpole population, or about .2% of the town’s 16,355 registered voters.

However, compare that sample size to the size of polls for state and national issues. Suffolk University political polls, for example, routinely publish polls that have a sample size of 500 people. Out of a total state population of 6,547,629, that represents .00005% of the state’s population, or .01% of the state’s 4,190,907 registered voters.
