Candidates visiting Walpole

October 21, 2010

This Saturday, October 23 from 12-2 PM, Jack Coffey, a Needham attorney who is running as an independent for Norfolk County District Attorney, will be taking a walking tour of downtown Walpole and will visit area businesses. I will be taking him on the tour, and any local residents who are interested are welcome to participate. Coffey is running against Democrat Michael Morrissey, a State Senator from Quincy. Unlike his opponent, Coffey has experience in a District Attorney’s office, having served as Assistant District Attorney in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office from 1987-1995. Please feel free to come and meet him – there are only two candidates in the race, and this is one of them!

State Treasurer Tim Cahill, candidate for Governor, will be visiting Walpole on Tuesday, October 26 at a time that is to be determined. Cahill is lagging in the polls after a brutal campaign season in which he was lambasted by negative advertising from the Republican Governors Association, but he could still pull of an upset victory. Furthermore, he is still our sitting State Treasurer, which is a powerful position. The time of his visit will be announced here on 180 once it is known.
